Emily Willard is a Senior at William and Mary, studying Neuroscience and Biology on the pre-medical track. Coach Emily swam for MRA from 2013-2023, has been on our coaching staff for five years, and has taught swim lessons at MRA for four years. Emily previously swam year-round for the YMCA, Poseidon Swimming and Hanover Aquatics. Coach Emily loves working with our team and helping swimmers achieve their goals while fostering their love of swimming, and she is beyond excited for another wonderful summer!

Katie Willard be returning to MRA as an Assistant Coach! This is Coach Katie's second year on our coaching staff. Katie is currently a Senior at Mechanicsville High School.  Coach Katie has been a Marlin since she was five and holds multiple MRA pool records.  She currently swims for NOVA and Mechanicsville High School and has qualified in multiple events for Speedo Sectionals and NCSA Junior Nationals.  Katie has taught swim lessons at MRA for three summers and is so excited to return for another great season with our Marlins!  

Bella Seward was a Marlin from 2015 to 2025!  Last year, Coach Bella spent her summer teaching swim lessons, lifeguarding, and participating on the swim team at MRA.  She volunteered her time as an coach in training.  Bella previously swam year-round for Poseidon Swimming, Burkwood's high school prep program, and Burkwood's summer prep program.  Bella swam for Hanover High School all four years and was honored to be a team captain!  This past year, Bella served as the team manager for the Hanover Hawks.  Bella is in her secibd year at Reynolds where she plans on transferring to Bon Secours for nursing.  She is super excited to come back to MRA as an assistant coach.
